My photographic journey has been a little meandering to date.  As with many people, photography took on a new importance for me with the birth of my first child.  I spent hours photographing my first daughter, then my second (and still do!).  This led to me photographing friends’ children, then helping out with imagery for friends’ businesses.  Then I got asked if I shot weddings..and so it goes.  Not an unfamiliar tale I’m sure.

What I realised is that I loved photographing people and capturing what matters to them.  That, and buying expensive camera gear!

People are still my favourite subject.  I love producing something that really delights someone and I adore that ‘Eureka’ moment when you know you’ve got the shot.  There are nearly 7 billion of us on the planet and untold numbers of images, yet each is in it’s own way unique and each will be special to someone.

Photographing people’s lives and treasured moments is something that I’m immensely humbled and proud to do and it’s a responsibility that I take very seriously, always aiming to do the best I can.

When I’m not taking photos, or talking about photography, like most I enjoy family time, good company, food and drink. Plus a run or a cycle.
